What are the requirements of shipping to an Amazon FBA warehouse?
How to book an LTL shipment to an Amazon fulfillment Warehouse (FBA) on the Freightcom Portal.
First - you will want to ensure you have followed all of Amazon's requirements prior to shipping. These would be things such as weight and pallet dimension restrictions, labelling requirements and what type of packaging material must be/must not be used. You can view this information on this Help Doc guide on Amazon's website.
For FBA shipments to/within Canada:
- Please ensure the Amazon FBA warehouse code is used in the Company Name field. This code can be found on your Seller Central portal, once you've been assigned an FBA to ship to. An example would be YYZ2 (Milton) or YVR1 (Delta).
- In the instructions field for the Receiver please add your FBA/Order ID # or your Amazon Purchase PO #
- Please ensure an Appointment is selected under Additional Services to ensure it appears in your quote (you do not need to select Amazon Appointment at this point)
- Please include the piece/carton count per skid
- For Freightcom's approved carrier partners who service Canadian FBA locations, see here.
For FBA shipments to/within the United States:
- Please ensure the Amazon FBA warehouse code is used in the Company Name field. This code can be found on your Seller Central portal, once you've been assigned an FBA to ship to. An example would be MDW2 (Joilet) or CMH2 (Groveport).
- In the instructions field for the Receiver please add your FBA/Order ID # or your Amazon Purchase PO #
- Please ensure an Appointment is also selected under Additional Services to ensure it appears in your quote
- Please include the piece/carton count per skid
- The only approved Amazon partner carriers for US locations nationwide are XPO Logistics and TForce Freight. Choosing another carrier on the Freightcom Portal may result in additional charges to your initial quote.
Please note: Although the carrier will set up an appointment with the local Amazon fulfillment center, depending on the date of the appointment and the driver's detention time, storage and waiting time may be incurred and billed at a later date. Unfortunately, this is beyond the control of the carrier and Freightcom. By accepting this quote, you indicate that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions.
