What do I need to provide when filing a claim?

  1. Proof of value - a cost invoice for the missing or damaged goods needs to be uploaded on the Freightcom Claims portal.
  2. If the shipment contained multiple items with loss or damage, a detailed breakdown with the value associated to each item is required.
  3. Pictures must be uploaded of the damage to the packaging (if applicable) as well as the damage to the goods. If a picture is available of the packaged goods prior to being shipped, please include this as well.
  4. If the goods arrived damaged, a repair/replacement quote needs to be provided. If the goods cannot be repaired or if the repair cost exceeds the value of the goods, please provide written and signed confirmation from the manufacturer or an independent third party repair company.
  5. A detailed description of loss or damage including the value of the claim must be provided.
  6. If the required information and documentation/pictures are not received within 30 days of initiating a claim, the claim cannot be filed and will be closed out and denied as it has passed the deadline for the carrier to accept the claim.
